Shades of blue for this elephant that emerges majestically from a mysterious depth, giving it a surreal impression.
I have always been attracted to elephants, both for their wisdom and intelligence and for the tenderness they inspire in me. I feel they are fragile beings, because they suffered due to humans who have exploited them so much over the centuries
Like the whales, I admire their wisdom, their strength and their majesty.
I have always felt the necessity to draw them; a way of paying them homage, of giving them back their rightful place, which for me is not below man, but on the same level.
By painting them my wish is to express them in all their majesty and splendour.
